For years, gigging all over Los Angeles with musical theater orchestra pits, Top 40’s and Classic Rock cover bands, big band and jazz combo performances, and (my favorite) original bands were my life outside of teaching and “The Wait of the World”. Every minute of it was a learning experience, and there is not enough gratitude I can express for getting to play various types of gigs with amazing people and musicians!

“Noches con Platanito”, houseband

Platanito July 2015Subbing on bass in July 2014 with Las Chikas, the houseband for “Noches con Platanito”, is definitely one of the most surreal experiences I’ve had as a musician by playing on one of Mexican TV’s top late-night shows! My first sub gig was so successful that I’ve been asked to come back July, September, and October 2015!

Alex Nester Band

Subbing with ANB is definitely one of my all-time favorite gigs to do, which started in July 2014 and continues on a regular basis. The whole band is filled with such talented and easy to work with personnel, and THIS CHICK CAN SING!! Alex has toured with Tito Jackson in the past and continuously tours with Carlos Santana (as a vocalist) and Salvador Santana (as vocalist/keys).
